IONIA, Smyrna, in alliance with Athens. Commodus. AD 177-198. Æ 30mm (10.85 g). Struck circa AD 182-185. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / OMO CMVP A-ΘHN-AI CTPA AI, HPAKΛΕΙ/ΔOV in exergue, Nemesis of Smyrna standing right, facing Athena who stands left and holds a patera. Klose 22 (V13/R22); Franke-Nolle 2079 (same dies); SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock 2246 var. Fine, dark brown patina, rough surfaces.
